Setting the baseline for SEE renewables

Green Energy Brief is a monthly publication by Elevat Solar Consulting, covering renewable energy markets across Southeast Europe. We track installed capacity, storage development, deal flow and policy for 8 countries in the region — free of charge, every month on the 11th.

Before discussing trends, we need a baseline. How much solar is actually installed in the region? Where does battery storage stand? Which countries are ahead and which are not? This first issue sets the reference point. All future issues will measure change against it.

The numbers are incomplete — and that is the point

Official statistics lag by months. Sources disagree. "Installed capacity" does not mean the same thing everywhere. We have done our best to cross-reference public data and flag uncertainty where it exists. This baseline is not perfect — but it is honest, and it is a starting point. Each month we will update only the countries where something has actually changed. No filler, no repetition.
